Hello world! I would like to introduce you, formally, to Baby Beatmann! He/she was very cooperative with the camera today and is the white shape in the middle of the black oval. The ultrasound tech had a much better picture where you could actually see the head and body as two different parts instead of it looking like one blob but that specific one needed to go in my file.
The doctors appointment went very well. She is probably one of the best doctors in Louisiana so I trust her 100%. According to her the baby is perfect with a strong heartbeat! He/she is on the right side of my uterus and will stay there until birth most likely. She said that my placenta is low and will continue to get higher as time passes and that I have a cyst on my left ovary which is normal because that is where the baby gets nutrition from before the placenta is formed. After measuring the peanut she then gave some disappointing news that my due date was actually October 10th instead of October 1st. Which instead of 8 weeks and 3 days makes me 7 weeks and 3 days. Depressing in a sense because you feel like your getting somewhere and then they push you back a week. Also upsetting because that means my peanut isn't a whole inch long yet like I had thought.
With that being said she wants to do an ultrasound on my kidney's because most women with 'heart shaped' uterus' have weird kidney's. What she doesn't know is...my kidney's are fine in Jesus' name. :)
I also will have to carry a jug around for 24 hours to potty in. Disgusting, I know. I remember Shannon having to do that. In fact, on the way to my appointment this morning I was actually making fun of that. God made me eat my words.
I'm so excited baby is fine, even though I knew it all along. I'm over waiting to find out the sex though - even though I have a long ways to go. I don't like waiting games and was never good at that. I have another appointment with her (the specialist) in a month and of course, another ultra sound! Yay!
